Bishops, Dan Rather’s Room
Students, are you passionate about non-profits, community service, or eager to connect with a Latina alum?
Join us for lunch on Monday, September 16th, in the McCombs Dan Rather Room to meet Hilda Gutierrez (’03), this year’s HLHM keynote speaker.
Hilda Gutiérrez, a native of the Rio Grande Valley and daughter of Mexican immigrants, has devoted her career to advancing social change, informed by her own experiences. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Feminist Studies from Southwestern University, a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico, and is a certified professional with the Society for Human Resource Management.
Currently, Hilda is the Director of Equity and Engagement at Feeding Texas. In this role, she works closely with food banks and social justice organizations to address hunger. Her efforts are centered on improving community engagement and supporting food and farm businesses through the Rio Grande Colonias USDA Regional Food Business Center.
She’ll be available to answer your questions and engage in meaningful conversation. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to network with Hilda!
