Campus Cat Ziggy is found very skinny and goes to the vet
“ I’ve noticed Ziggy has seemed very skinny lately and seems very hungry. When I try to escort her to the food bowls she’s very timid and refuses to approach it as if she’s expecting to get attacked. I’m worried that the other cats have chased her off from it. Is there anything I can do to help? I’ve been giving her water near Lords 3 to help keep her hydrated.”

New cat at Mabee Residence Hall
More than students moved into the Mabee Residence Hall this semester. A new cat appeared at Mabee too. The new cat was spotted by students last weekend. It has a terrible tail injury, and has been crying/meowing, and seeking attention from people entering Mabee. Many first year students reached out to the student organization Cat Partners of Southwestern to get help for the cat, and took action to provide food and medical care for the new cat.

Stray cat found on campus
This lost pet cat was found by Physical Plant employees, trapped by Cat Partners, and taken to the Georgetown City Animal Shelter today. The kitty was hanging out behind Physical Plant, by the SU Garden. The kitty was very hungry and appeared friendly, but fearful. A big thanks to one of the night custodians, Amelia, who reported the kitty to Kelly Lessard, Advisor to Cat Partners. Kelly was able to trap the kitty and take it to the shelter. The shelter scanned for a microchip, and will be contacting the registered owner.
