Southwestern University has been ranked no. 11 in the nation and no. 1 in Texas on The Princeton Review’s list of “Best Schools for Making an Impact.” This is a brand new category of college rankings this year published in the The Princeton Review’s Colleges That Pay You Back: The 200 Schools That Give You the Best Bang for Your Tuition Buck – 2017 Edition.
“I am delighted that The Princeton Review, along with so many others, recognize the impactful and intentional ways in which Southwestern strives to think, create and connect to make meaning and make a difference each and every day,” says Southwestern President Edward Burger. “This recognition perfectly captures that which Southwestern strives to accomplish—encouraging students to ask thought-provoking questions in an effort to understand the world on a deeper level, and in doing so, embark on a lifelong journey of intellectual growth and awareness.”
According to The Princeton Review, the list of “Best Schools for Making an Impact” are schools that feature the best community service opportunities, student government, sustainability, and on-campus student engagement. They are also schools with the highest reported percentage of alumni with high job meaning.
Southwestern is also listed in the book’s following categories: Colleges That Pay You Back, Best 381 Colleges, Best Western, Green Colleges, and Best Career Services.
