The Pirate Pantry helps currently enrolled students focus on their studies without having to face the burden of food insecurity.
No student should go hungry. There is a perception that if a student can afford to go to college, they can also afford food. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. The Pirate Pantry was created in October 2021 to tackle the problem of food insecurity that is happening around the nation and on our campus.
The Pirate Pantry is located in Fine Arts Building, Room 127.
The Pirate Pantry is open to any currently, enrolled students. Students may walk in to use the pantry during hours of operation and choose items to take from the pantry.
Food insecurity can impact anyone at any given moment and can be a difficult thing to talk about, therefore, records are not kept of those who use the pantry.
