Southwestern has partnered with Navigate Wellbeing Solutions to create the SU Wellness Program for employees, an app-based program that makes it fun and easy to take good care of ourselves.
SU Wellness focuses on 8 Pillars of Wellbeing:
Balance, Community, Financial, Mindfulness, Nutrition, Physical, Purpose, and Social
The program offers a one-stop shop of tools and technology to provide support across each of the pillars, including:
- Resources to support growth in all parts of life that make people healthy, happy, and whole
- Content, challenges, and guidance in any area of wellbeing
- The ability to review program progress, participate in group challenges, and access information resources

Good to Know
The SU Wellness Program platform is an app-based program provided through Navigate. This is an enhancement to our current benefits package.
This program is HIPAA-compliant. Any protected health information entered into the program is strictly confidential. Participation tracking is done with your SU Employee ID, and only the platform admins (Peggy Freitas and Gretel Galo) and the Navigate account manager (Shannon Pratt) have access to your points to award entry into the prize drawings.
This is a voluntary program with several components. You sign up in the Navigate platform to participate in challenges (personal, campus-wide, or departmental) covering a variety of wellness issues: physical, nutrition, financial and mindfulness, nutrition, purpose, social, and community. You elect which programs to participate in, and each challenge will earn points.
There are two “prize periods” each semester. Completing challenges earns varying points. Your name will be entered into the drawing for each 100 points you earn (to a maximum of 300 points or three entries each semester). Each semester, points clear out so that you can begin earning points again. The first period starts late July, and the second period begins in January.
Each time you reach 100 points, your name is entered into the drawing. Winners are drawn at random by Navigate two times each semester. If you win, you may choose from a variety of prizes at different price points: $75, $50 and $25. Prize selections include items like yoga and workout equipment, personal health and wellness items, food preparation and sustainable products, and SU branded items such as water bottles, clothing and more!
It’s easy to earn those points! Complete the Wellness Survey, Explore Navigate and your Benefits Guide, complete Personal Challenges and Video Learning Courses, and report your preventative exams or annual vaccines. Many challenges (video, personal, etc.) can be repeated for more even points. Plus - if you complete the two campus-wide challenges you earn 50 points for each - so it is easy to be entered into the drawings!
