Faculty-Led Programs

Southwestern University faculty-led study abroad programs offer immersive, group-based experiences led by SU professors. Students travel and learn alongside a cohort of their peers while earning in-residence credit.

Faculty-led Programs

In partnership with trusted study abroad providers, SU coordinates the on-site logistics so faculty and students can focus on academic and cultural engagement. Program offerings may vary from year to year, and SU Study Abroad Scholarships are available to help support participation.

Before applying, students must attend an  Info Session, Study Abroad 101,  or meet with an advisor. Applications require a faculty reference and a short essay. Students are also encouraged to review the Student Financial Responsibility policy for their program. A $75 application fee and program deposit are due at the time of application.
