SU faculty-led study abroad programs are group programs led by a SU faculty member; students study with a cohort of their SU peers and receive in-residence credit.

SU Faculty-led Programs

SU faculty-led study abroad programs are group programs led by a SU faculty member; students study with a cohort of their SU peers and receive in-residence credit. SU partners with a study abroad program provider to coordinate the on-the-ground logistics of the program. Programs may change annually. SU Study Abroad Scholarships are available.

FALL 2025 PROGRAMS

Program & Scholarship Application Deadline: March 1st, 2025

  • SU Fall London 2025 (faculty leaders: Dr. Carin Perilloux, Psychology, and Dr. John Ross, Mathematics)

2026 PROGRAMS

Program & Scholarship Application Deadline: December 1st, 2025

  • Applications to open by the end of August 2025

Students must attend an Info Session, Study Abroad 101, or Advising before applying. Faculty references and an essay are required. Review the Student Financial Responsibility.

  • SU Granada Intermediate Spanish (2026 & 2028) - focus on Spanish II and III
  • SU Europe - European Cultural Explorations in Lisbon, Cannes, and Budapest (2026 & 2028) - focus on Psychology and Communication Studies
  • SU Mexico City - History & Spanish (2026) - focus on History and Advanced Spanish 
  • SU Rome - Antiquity, Renaissance and Now (2026) - focus on Classics and English

  • SU Fall London 2026 (faculty leaders: Dr. Cody Crosby, Natural Sciences, and Dr. Erika Berroth, Global Studies). 

    This London-based semester is a great fit for Southwestern students interested in International Studies, Business, Natural Sciences, Environmental Studies, Feminist Studies, Health Studies, Engineering, Law/Philosophy, Humanities, and/or the Fine Arts.
