Griff Lord has enjoyed a long career in banking, having served as the president and a director of First Texas Bank in Belton for 29 years. He currently serves as a director of First Texas Bancorp, Inc., in Georgetown; and vice-chair and director of First Texas Bank in Killeen.

Mr. Lord has been actively involved in civic affairs in his hometown of Belton, having served as president and director of the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce, chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission, president and director of the United Way, chair of the board of commissioners of the Housing Authority, and chair of the board of trustees of the Bell County Museum. He currently serves as vice president and director of the Belton Economic Development Corporation.

Griff graduated with a bachelor of business administration degree from Southern Methodist University in 1970. He currently serves as the secretary for the Southwestern Board of Trustees.
