Michael is currently Senior Director at Ashton Thomas Private Wealth, a boutique wealth management firm in San Francisco, California. With over 30 years of experience, he has strategically built, acquired, grown, and managed wealth management businesses. He has a strong passion for providing individuals, businesses, and families with all the advice and solutions for being financially successful today and for passing on that success to subsequent generations.

For much of his career, Michael led financial management functions within Wells Fargo’s fully integrated wealth management division, which serves affluent and high-net-worth individuals across the U.S. with brokerage, investment management, trust, and private banking services. Since 2008, through turbulent times and a period of extraordinary growth, he held divisional CFO roles within Wells Fargo’s Wealth Management unit, including The Private Bank. After retiring from Wells Fargo in 2022, he spent time traveling the country, reconnecting with family and friends, enjoying the natural beauty of the U.S., and cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Michael graduated from Southwestern University in 1993 with a B.A. in business, with a concentration in finance and a minor in Spanish. While at Southwestern, he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and played on the baseball team. His only daughter, Clea, is now a thriving student at his alma mater. He lives with his wife, Julie, in Lafayette, California.
