What would be your advice to prospective students about the college search?

Take your time to do the research and find time to visit each campus. You want to make sure you are finding the best fit for you and this can best be done by walking around campus and seeing what a day in the life as a college student looks like.

Why should students attend Southwestern?

The city of Georgetown and the Southwestern Campus are so quaint and have so much to offer. Southwestern University offers you a top tier education all while ensuring you are more than prepared for the next steps in your life whether that be entering the workforce or continuing your education with graduate school.

What are your favorite restaurants in Georgetown, and why?

Mikey V’s Tacos on the square is hands down the best! It can best be described as a hole in the wall and the food is fantastic!

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include spending time with my wife, traveling near and far to see new places, walking my two miniature dachshunds, and finding the best donut in the DFW metroplex!

Where were you born, and, if different, what do you consider your hometown?

I was born in Mobile, Alabama, but have spent 14 of the last 15 years in Auburn, AL. I would consider that to be my hometown as I have spent the majority of my life there.

What advice would you give your college self?

It’s ok to change your major! It is so important to find something you are passionate about. You have the rest of your life to work so find your passion!
