Why do you choose to give back to Southwestern?
As my career starts to diminish in its importance, it is now time for me to give back to the people and the institutions that gave so much to me over the years. Southwestern played a very critical role in my development - not just for my career but, more importantly, for my personal development. I am reminded of that every single day when I look into my wife’s eyes - we met at Southwestern! All of my volunteer work has been with children and younger people. Helping young people is very satisfying, I have seen first hand the profound impact help at the right time can have on someone’s life. It is that drive that lead me to volunteer for the Alumni Council at SU. Southwestern continues to evolve and has changed dramatically since I was there - from the DIBE initiatives to the High Impact Experiences and many more, it is a place I am proud to call my Alma Mater. By working with the Alumni council, I am hopeful to help both alumni and current students maintain a life-long relationship with the university.
