Why do you give back to Southwestern?

I choose to give back to SU out of gratitude. Gratitude for the opportunity to attend Southwestern. Without financial aid and scholarships my family would never have had the ability to give me this precious gift. Gratitude for the great impact SU had on my decision to become a special educator. I enjoyed 36 years with Round Rock ISD (20 as a preschool special education teacher and 16 as a low incidence specialist supporting students with autism and other significant disabilities). Gratitude for the relationships/friendships made. I met my husband and other lifelong friends as a student and as an alumni that are some of life’s greatest gifts.
