Marie Muhvic is a seasoned professional with a distinguished career in successful fundraising roles at private and public universities. She brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of transformative leadership.

Marie will joined Southwestern from Drury University where she played a pivotal role in achieving increased alumni giving participation, acquiring new major gift donors, securing 63% of Campaign commitments in a year and a half, bringing in the highest annual fund total amount. Beginning her tenure in February 2024, Marie is set to bring her expertise to further elevate Southwestern’s commitment to philanthropy and academic excellence.

Marie began her fundraising career at the University of Tennessee, followed by key roles at Princeton University, Fairfield University, St. John’s University in New York, the University of Bridgeport, and Sacred Heart University.

Marie is recognized for her ability to grow donor bases, execute comprehensive campaigns, enhance transparency and communication, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. Her dedication to the mission and values of Southwestern University makes her an exceptional addition to the leadership team.

Marie holds master’s and bachelor of science degrees from the University of Tennessee and the University of Wisconsin, respectively. Her collegiate tenure was distinguished by her participation as a Division I and Division III soccer student-athlete.
