Language Placement

By May 29, all students entering Southwestern are required to take a placement examination in a foreign language. A high placement may exempt students from some or all of the University’s language requirement. Placement tests may be taken in more than one foreign language. Math and Chemistry Placement

By May 29, all students entering Southwestern are required to complete the ALEKS Prep and Learning Math Knowledge Check to determine placement in math and chemistry courses. This is a program that provides individualized learning and assessment. Through individualized learning, students will be able to focus on strengths in math, and have the opportunity to improve math skills with targeted learning. The link to ALEKS is available here.
