The Department of Biology at Southwestern University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in physiology beginning August 2024. We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in any area of animal physiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a full undergraduate course load (3-2) including an upper-level course in Vertebrate Physiology with lab, an additional upper-level course in their area of expertise (preference will be given to candidates who can teach Comparative Vertebrate Morphology) as well as Introductory Biology, Biological Methods, Senior Capstone and general education courses on a rotating basis. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a research program involving undergraduates, advise and mentor undergraduate students; and participate in departmental and university service.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related discipline by August 1, 2024.
