SU theatre major Luke Oliver came to the rescue for the Nutcracker over the weekend! When the original dancer who was scheduled to perform with the Georgetown Ballet got pneumonia 3 days before the first performance, the company was in quite a predicament. What is the Nutcracker ballet without a Nutcracker? Luke was asked if he’d be willing to help, and he stepped up to the challenge in a big way. After all, the show must go on. The show was saved, and hundreds enjoyed the favorite holiday tradition at the Alma Thomas Theatre over the weekend. Great job, Luke!
