These student organizations are communities of faith at Southwestern.

CANTERBURY

Student Contact: Catie Grace Gorman

Campus Missioner: Rev. Anne Matthews

Purpose: to invite interested student to participate in a community that is focused on mutual support, shared meals, theological reflection, worship in the Episcopal tradition, and service. During the semester we meet every Sunday at 5PM at Grace Episcopal Church.

CATHOLIC STUDENT ASSOCIATION (CSA)

Student Contact: Rachel Pinto
Faculty/Staff Advisor: Cody Crosby

Purpose: to promote Catholic education and provide insight about the Catholic religion to students on campus and to the Southwestern community.

COLLEGE AT THE AUSTIN STONE BIBLE STUDY

Student Contact: Jessica McCutcheon

Deacon: Jonathan Ferree

Purpose: to create a space for Southwestern students’ love of God, the church, the city, and the nations to flourish. Through faith, bible studies, fellowship events, volunteer opportunities, and discipleship programs, we strive to equip college students to grow as disciples for the glory of Jesus. We are a part of the Austin Stone Church Family.

FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES (FCA)

Student Contact: Luke Martin
Faculty/Staff Advisor: Anna Castillo

Purpose: to lead and empower students to seek community and truth in Jesus Christ. FCA meets every Wednesday at 9pm on the Soccer Fields, and we welcome athletes AND non-athletes!

JEWISH STUDENTS AND FRIENDS

Student Contact: Michelle “Lainie” Siegel
Faculty/Staff Advisor: Michael Saenger

Purpose: to create a sense of community among students and supportive peers connected to the Jewish faith and culture. We provide an inclusive and supportive space for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Participate in our activities for Shabbat, High Holy Days, Hanukkah, and more. We share leadership skills, a love of nosh and music, and resources for off-campus engagement.

MUSLIM STUDENT ASSOCIATION

Student Contact: Lara Alswafta
Faculty/Staff Advisor: Meagan Solomon

Purpose: to create a sense of community, leadership, and personal growth among Muslim and non-Muslim students alike. By providing resources, programs, and opportunities for engagement, MSA seeks to empower students to develop their character, enhance their leadership skills, and create meaningful connections.

UNITED METHODIST STUDENT FELLOWSHIP

The Open Table at FUMC
The Open Table Ministry is a welcoming community for college-aged young adults rooted in the love of Christ and one another. During the semester we meet at First United Methodist Church of Georgetown to share meals, engage in meaningful conversations, have fun, and build lasting friendships. Embracing diversity and inclusivity, we provide a safe space where everyone belongs, regardless of background or belief, as we journey together to explore faith, serve others, and grow in love.
