Kappa Delta Chi has been a member organization of NALFO since 2000. Since then, KDChi has been a strong supporter of NALFO’s efforts.

Kappa Delta Chi

Was founded in 1987, at Texas Tech University by four young women from the Rio Grande Valley. Their vision was to create something so special and unique that it would leave a legacy for others who followed. They recognized the need to unify and promote leadership amongst Hispanic women at the university. That vision became Kappa Delta Chi. With the strong foundations of service, Christianity and friendship, they created a sisterhood that 30 years later is stronger than ever. They sought to incorporate the principles of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership into this organization

Through the hard work and dedication of all its members, Kappa Delta Chi is now one of the strongest Latina-based sororities in the country, and is proud to have the reputation of the most powerful network among Latinas leaders. With over 5,000 sisters made up of 70 undergraduate chapters and 20 graduate chapters across the country, KDChi’s goal is to help young women of all backgrounds achieve the dream of a higher education, to provide an opportunity to develop leadership skills, a world-wide network of professionals and to then continue to evolve into the leaders in the professional world while continuing to give back to the communities they live in. Undergraduate and alumnae members are recognized annually for their academic and professional achievements as well as their exemplary service contributions. The sisterhood takes pride in providing an average of over 40,000 hours of service to our surrounding communities and for holding a national grade point average above 3.0 on a four-point scale. KDChi is also an official certifying organization for the  President’s Volunteer Service Award.
