Join Southwestern’s Outdoor Adventure program led by Branndon Bargo from January 1–13, 2024, on an exhilarating adventure to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa and the largest free-standing mountain in the world. The eight-day trek will take the group along the Lemosho route through five distinct ecosystems as you ascend the 19,340-foot summit.

  • The application to participate in this trip has closed. 

    • This trip is for juniors and seniors only.
    • All applications must have a valid passport or be actively in the process of obtaining one to ensure smooth travel arrangements.
    • Because the climb to the summit of Kilimanjaro is strenuous, we recommend applicants engage in physical activity at least three days a week to ensure they are well-prepared for the trip.
  • The total cost of this trip is $500. With this fee, you will secure your spot on this incredible journey. The best part? This cost covers everything– flights, transportation, food, lodging, and unforgettable excursions. The Outdoor Adventure program has taken care of all the details so you can focus on embracing every moment of this life-changing experience.

  • Along with summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, you will immerse yourself in the local culture and connect with the world around you. After climbing, the group will visit a local orphanage, engage with the Massai people, and end the journey with a once-in-a-lifetime safari through Arusha National Park. This trip promises not only physical challenges but meaningful connections and incredible memories.
