SU Outdoor Adventure trips teach outdoor skills like setting up a tent, navigating with a compass, belaying your climbing partner up a rock wall, or knowing how to pack a backpack properly.

These important skills help develop confidence, decision-making, discipline, perseverance, and a healthy way to deal with stress benefiting you throughout your college experience and the rest of your life.

What are students saying about our trips?

“[Outdoor Adventure] has made my days significantly more enjoyable and memorable by bringing the vast opportunities of the world and Texas closer to our campus…Most importantly, SUOA has taught me how to step outside my comfort zone”

“As a college student, you don’t have time to plan trips, but since OA takes care of that, I can balance my love of the outdoors with the school work I have as a double major.”

“In my opinion, the work that SUOA does is more important than ever, offering a chance to connect with the outdoors and all it has to teach us, during some of the most influential years of our lives.”

“I look forward to every weekend I get to spend with this team, out in nature, learning more about the world and about myself. Outdoor Adventure has given me not just memories, but a stronger sense of who I am and what I am capable of.”
