Starting Fall 2024 the Department of Campus Recreation has made improvements to our Group Fitness Program. We will now be offering classes by semester, and instituting semester/annual passes which allows you to attend any class. Our sessions will now be a semester session. This Fall 2024 will be from September 3rd through December 12th. 

 

We have also streamlined the registration process.  All registration will be online using our IM Leagues platform. Please use the link below to register.

 

Every person who purchases a fitness semester pass will receive a Southwestern University workout towel, and if you purchase an annual pass, you will receive a workout towel and water bottle.

Campus Recreation Fitness offers these classes in the Robertson Center Fitness Studio:

 

New Class !!! ( Just Added)  

Yoga - Thursday at 4:15pm

This yoga class will be a blend of Hatha yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga and Guided Meditation. These styles will involve seamless poses and movements in sync with breathing and meditation. This yoga class is great for relaxation, meditation and alignment. Great for all levels, come join!

 

Zumba Workout - Thursdays at 5:30pm

 The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Zumba Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

No prior Zumba experience is necessary. Comfortable tennis/fitness shoes are recommended.

 

Dance Cardio - Wednesdays at 12:15pm

Dance Cardio is a fabulous way for participants to increase their cardio, muscle endurance and fitness.No prior experience is necessary. Comfortable tennis/fitness shoes are recommended.

 

BalletFit - Mondays at 6:30pm

Whether you’re an athlete looking to enhance precise footwork, balance, and flexibility, a former dancer needing an outlet again, or just wanting to try something new, beginner ballet introduces the fundamental skills transferable to many other fitness interests. This class will teach you the foundational techniques of proper barre, focus on the mind-body connection of strength and alignment, and develop the core control needed for injury prevention. This is a classical ballet class, different from new “barre” studio classes. No experience needed.
