Studio Art Department Admission & Scholarship Portfolio Reviews

Studio Art

updated November 16, 2024

The Sarofim Scholarship in Studio Art is awarded to students who demonstrate talent and a strong desire for growth in the field of studio art. The application process involves a thorough review of the applicant’s portfolio by the faculty. We highly encourage prospective students to participate in a portfolio review through our online process and attend our Studio Art Open House. This event provides a comprehensive understanding of the Studio Art Department and allows you to meet our esteemed faculty members in person. It’s important to note that portfolio reviews are not mandatory for admission into the Studio Art major at Southwestern. However, candidates who are awarded the Sarofim Scholarship may also be eligible for additional financial assistance through other Southwestern scholarships.

Sarofim Scholarships in Studio Art are for Studio Art majors only.

Prospective students interested in applying for a Sarofim Scholarship and pursuing a major in Studio Art have the opportunity to do so through the portfolio submission process, which is open until January 15, 2025. Before registering, please take a look at the requirements outlined below. This year’s Portfolio Review will be conducted virtually on January 29, starting at 7:00 pm.

SAVE THE DATE! On February 16 we will have a Studio Art Open House, details to come, where you will meet faculty and staff, tour the studios, and attend a workshop.
