2021 Roy and Margaret Shilling Lecture, featuring Dr. Ruth J. Simmons

For over two decades, The Shilling Lecture has showcased internationally prominent speakers on topics relating to ethics, public service and public policy. The 2021 Shilling Lecture speaker is Dr. Ruth J. Simmons, president of Prairie View A&M University, a public historically black university in Prairie View, Texas, and the second oldest public institution of higher education in the state.

Homecoming Weekend

Friday–Sunday, October 15–17, 2021

The nation’s first Homecoming was celebrated by Southwestern in 1909. Since then, alumni have cherished the annual occasion to reunite and share memories of days together at the University.
