Both students and faculty members who are interested in sociology and anthropology participate in OASIS. OASIS sponsors a number of activities throughout the year, which may include a fall picnic, an end-of-year party,  panels of alumni who talk about their jobs or graduate school, and meetings focusing on upcoming events and building community. Majors and minors are encouraged to participate in the planning of these and other departmental programs and activities.
