OASIS
Organization of Anthropology and Sociology Interested Students (OASIS)
Co-Presidents for 2023-24: Emma French (Anthro) and Brigit Reese (Soc)
Both students and faculty members who are interested in sociology and anthropology participate in OASIS. OASIS sponsors a number of activities throughout the year, which may include a fall volleyball picnic, an end-of-year party, sessions on studying for the GRE, panels of alumni who talk about their jobs or graduate school, and meetings focusing on how to think about graduate programs. Majors and minors are encouraged to participate in the planning of these and other departmental programs and activities. If you are interested in getting involved, please see one of the department’s faculty members. Students are notified of OASIS events through our listserve, so make sure you sign up for the OASIS listserve!
For more information on OASIS, contact the department chair.
