Tour our campus and state-of-the-art facilities, visit studios and rehearsal spaces, and get a feel for the community and energy that shape our creative environment.

You’ll meet faculty mentors, connect with current students, and spend time with other scholarship recipients and prospective fine arts students who share your passion. If you’d like an even deeper look at life in the fine arts at Southwestern University, you also have the option to extend your visit to attend performances or sit in on classes.

After you submit your audition materials, if you are offered a scholarship, you will also then receive an email invitation to this event with a link to register.

  • The music audition at Southwestern serves as both a formal audition into the music major and an audition for the Sarofim Scholarship in Music. For non-majors, it serves as the audition for a performance award.

If you are offered a scholarship after your audition, we also encourage you to visit campus for our Sarofim School of Fine Arts Scholarship Celebration Day, where you can learn more about the music programs and ensemble participation offered, meet faculty, and participate in workshops or lectures from all areas of fine arts to be eligible for additional scholarship funds.

Students who are not admitted into the major program on the basis of the audition are welcome to participate in all activities of the Music Department for which they qualify. If they still wish to pursue the major, they may re-audition for the Music Department after they begin their studies at Southwestern.
