Student Organizations
Schools look at several interpersonal competencies such as service orientation, social skills, teamwork, leadership skills. Belonging to a student organization may provide various opportunities to help you improve in any of these areas. Below you will find a list of possible student organizations that you may be interested in joining. These list is not complete but just a snapshot of the many student organizations available at Southwestern University

SOUTHWESTERN PRE-HEALTH ORGANIZATION

Purpose: to encourage excellence in scholarship, promote cooperation among pre-health students and faculty, and bring together students with similar interests in order to stimulate appreciation and preparation for health professional education.
STUDENT HEALTH ADVISORY COUNCIL (SHAC)

Advisor: Brittany Crim
Purpose: to promote student health and enlighten students on relevant health topics through health education, activities, and improvements on campus.
PRE-DENTAL SOCIETY

Purpose: to guide students through the process of getting in to dental school, DAT requirements, various fields of dentistry, and opportunities for dental experience.
