Andrew Ross, Associate Professor of Business and Director of Business Internships, joined Southwestern University in 2006. He offers courses on International Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Foundations of Business, and a Strategic Management Capstone. Ross has served in multiple leadership roles and as a member of the university’s Strategic Planning Committee, Land Use Task Force and Tactical Planning Task Force. He was the recipient of the Southwestern Teaching Award in 2012.
Ross has created multiple high-impact experiences for Southwestern University students. He cofounded an interdisciplinary summer study abroad program in Granada, Spain which has been offered since 2011. He also taught abroad in Southwestern University’s London Program in 2018. Along with study abroad, Ross supervises internships pursued by students in the business program. He cofounded Southwestern’s Lab for Innovative Ventures and Entrepreneurship (LIVE) and served as the coordinator of the interdisciplinary Data Analytics minor. .
Ross has a B.A. from Austin College and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. Prior to joining Southwestern, Ross served as Director of Product Marketing for Travelocity.com where he was responsible for Travelocity’s business travel sites, Travelocity Business and GetThere. Prior to working at Travelocity, he held several positions in marketing and business development at Sabre Inc. and American Airlines.
