Fellowships
Goldwater Summer Research Internship Program
A new initiative, launched for Summer 2027, that will expand opportunities for college freshmen and sophomores to participate in cutting-edge research in their fields of interest. Authorized by Congress, the program marks the Foundation’s 40th anniversary and builds on its longstanding commitment to identifying, encouraging, and financially supporting undergraduates who aspire to become the nation’s next generation of research scientists, engineers, and mathematicians.
Goldwater Interns will join collaborative research teams at laboratories across the nation, working alongside senior researchers, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and other undergraduates. Each intern will receive $10,500 in financial support for the 10-week research experience.
