Since graduating with a business degree from Southwestern University and a juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, Thomas Frashier ’16 has quickly emerged as one of Houston’s most dynamic young litigators and community leaders. Now an associate at Ahmad, Zavitsanos, & Mensing (AZA), he has earned national attention for winning high-profile cases, including a first-of-its-kind influencer intellectual-property suit and a pivotal case affirming the authority of Ben & Jerry’s board to direct the company’s social mission. His firm partners describe him as a rare talent whose optimism and work ethic elevate every team he joins. Beyond the courtroom, Frashier is deeply invested in his community. He is a leader of the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation, a fellowship limited to the top 1% of attorneys dedicated to service. He also frequently chairs literacy initiatives and serves on the boards of Writers in the Schools Houston and the Houston Lawyer Referral Service. An enthusiastic mentor to Southwestern students, he continues to advise aspiring lawyers and support campus initiatives.
