For the first time, Southwestern University students competed — and excelled — at the HSI Battle of the Brains. Open to all students attending Hispanic-Serving Institutions across the country, HSI Battle of the Brains is a premiere week-long event that features career fairs, networking events, and professional development opportunities that culminates in a 24-hour cross-disciplinary team competition integrating computer science, marketing, finance, and sustainable business strategy. SU students utilized not only their creativity and ingenuity, but also their collaboration and cooperation skills en route to winning the “Video Marketing Challenge” portion of the competition. Throughout the week, the students met with recruiters and employers and were exposed to a variety of internship and professional career opportunities.
