One-Year Visiting Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

The Kinesiology Department at Southwestern University invites applications for a 1-year Visiting Assistant Professor to begin in August 2025 to teach a 3-3 course load (a Human Structure & Function course, a Structural Kinesiology laboratory course, and an elective within the candidate’s area of expertise). Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to teaching undergraduate kinesiology courses. Candidates with expertise in general kinesiology with a strong anatomy and physiology background are encouraged to apply. The department is especially interested in attracting candidates with inclusive teaching or research abilities. To apply: Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology or closely related field. - a curriculum vitae
- a statement of teaching philosophy that summarizes your goals for student learning as well as the methods you will use to help students achieve them

- at least one letter of reference that speaks to teaching aptitude
