Off the Wall: Contemporary Prints presents five artists with national and international reputations who expand the art of the print with experimental intersections of two-dimensional pictorial space and three-dimensional sculptural space.

Stacy Elko  (Texas USA) explores “internal states of transformation” through her metaphorically charged, Moroccan, henna-designed Fish Bomb Boats that hang like airships from the ceiling; Andrew Folan (Dublin, Ireland) stacks paper into sculptures through a laser sintering process to “blend virtual and actual, providing a reflective conscious space to observe thought processes and their material transformations”; Nicole Pietrantoni (Washington, USA) interrogates landscape images as cultural constructions through ethereal, photographically-derived prints that are poetic and nostalgic contemplations on the relationship of humans to nature;  Samantha Parker Salazar (Illinois, USA)  transforms space with light and shadow through her colorful,  hand-cut paper shapes and lines that hang as installations from the ceiling and move elegantly through space; and Sang-Mi Yoo (Texas, USA) constructs images of row houses that explore the relationship of her experiences living in standardized Korean New Village houses and American cookie-cutter (tract) homes to call into question how domestic experiences affect perceptions of Korean and American identities.
