Students See Good Design Close-Up

On Saturday and Sunday October 25-26, Prof. Thomas Howe’s Architecture Studio I visited some of the best recent design in the Austin area by participating in the American Institute of Architects Homes Tour 2014.
Howe has taken students on this tour every year for over twenty years. The Tour comes at the perfect time in the first semester architecture studio when students have done several exercises and are about to take the plunge to start their first real design of a house to a specific site and a specific program. The final project is presented in drawing and model form at the end of the semester.
