Explore the night sky through high-powered telescopes at Southwestern University’s Fountainwood Observatory Open House!
Have you ever wondered how many moons of Jupiter you can see from Georgetown? Or what kind of astronomical research opportunities exist when you can use a Hydrogen Alpha filter to image the skies? Or just if you can see where the astronauts landed on the moon? With the right telescopes and guidance, you have those opportunities and more by checking out Southwestern University’s own Fountainwood Observatory.
Weather permitting, a waning crescent Moon and Saturn will be visible at the start of the night.
*This event is only open to Southwestern students, faculty, and staff.
