Fraternities have a long history and tradition at Southwestern University. With local founding dates going back all the way to 1883, the fraternities at SU have been part of the Southwestern experience for 130 years!
Each fraternity at Southwestern University is a unique brotherhood. All four chapters provide family-style living in a fraternity house located on campus. The chapter houses of Kappa Alpha and Pi Kappa Alpha are maintained as part of an agreement with Southwestern University through Residence Life. Kappa Sigma and Phi Delta Theta’s houses are maintained by the chapter members and their alumni. Living, eating and studying together helps solidify lifelong friendships. All chapter members, whether they live in the house or elsewhere, benefit from being part of these organizations.
