Residence Halls
Moody-Shearn Hall
Moody-Shearn is an upper-division coed hall on the west side of campus. It houses approximately 100 residents and 3 student staff members in two-person rooms with suite-style bathrooms
Moody-Shearn Hall was put into use in 1966 and features exterior corridors and private courtyards. It was a gift of the Moody Foundation of Galveston, Texas, and is named in honor of Mr. John Shearn, an early graduate of Rutersville College, and in honor of Mr. William Lewis Moody Jr.
Moody-Shearn is unique in that it is laid out in an open, apartment-style format, which makes it and its partner building, Herman Brown, extremely popular. Moody-Shearn Hall has laundry facilities nearby.
