KA House
The Kappa Alpha House is a nationally-affiliated male fraternity on the west side of campus. It accommodates approximately 25 residents and 1 student staff member in two-person rooms with community bathrooms.
Founded on November 28, 1883, Kappa Alpha Order Xi Chapter is not only the oldest fraternity on Southwestern’s campus, but also the oldest chapter of any fraternity west of the Mississippi River. In the Fall of 2008, Xi Chapter celebrated its 125th anniversary.
The university provides each resident in the KA House with:
- A standard twin bed
- A desk
- A desk chair
- A multi-drawered dresser (shared by roommates)
- A closet (shared by roommates)
