Housing & Residence Life welcomes you to Southwestern University. We are residential campus, which means our on-campus living program is an integral part of the total student experience. We believe, and research has shown, that students who live on campus enjoy greater academic success and are more likely to achieve in other areas such as teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership.
We offer a variety of residential facilities and living options including residence halls and spacious apartments. Within each of these options, you also have the choice of either single-gender and co-ed residence configurations.
Fall 2023 Move-In Information:
New Incoming Students: Move-In is scheduled for Saturday, August 19th from 9AM to 1PM by appointment. If you are moving into Brown-Cody, Clark, Mabee, or Ruter, please refer to your Southwestern email to sign-up for a move-in time.
New students moving into Herman Brown, Moody-Shearn, McCombs, DLC, or Lord Center report to the McCombs Campus Center, Rm. 310 to check-in between 9AM and 12PM (no sign up required).
Returning Students: Move-In is scheduled for Friday, August 25th from 10AM to 7PM and Saturday, August 26th from 9AM to 3PM. Returning Students report to the Bishop’s Lounge of the McCombs Campus Center on their move-in day. No sign up required.
