Community-Engaged Learning
CELSA (Community-Engaged Learning Student Associates)
Community-Engaged Learning Associates (CELSA) is a paid position where students have the opportunity to gain real world professional experience while working part-time with a local nonprofit organization. In addition, CELSAs have the unique opportunity to attend training sessions with the Office of Community Engaged Learning where they will develop leadership skills in the areas of project management, communication, and community building. As a CELSA, students not only make contributions toward improving the community for all citizens, but this experience provides students the added advantage of developing skills that will translate into future personal success.
The Community-Engaged Learning Student Associates (CELSAs) work 4-10 hours a week and are paid $12/hour.
