• Be dependable…that means punctuality and regular attendance are important!
• Work with your site supervisor or faculty member to learn about the placement’s mission and goals.
• Develop learning goals in consultation with site supervisors and faculty members.
• Follow the rules and regulations of the CELSA site or faculty member.
• Maintain regular communication with your site supervisor or faculty member.

• Attend a required orientation at the beginning of the Fall semester
• Follow Southwestern student payroll policies
• Attend and participate in monthly CEL Student Associate leadership trainings

CELSAs are placed in Georgetown community organizations. The purpose of this program is to partner Southwestern Students with community nonprofits as a way of developing community engaged learning opportunities. CELSA roles and responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the organization and the student’s personal learning goals. CELSAs are expected to:

• Facilitate and nurture community learning partnership(s) between SU and the community organization
• Regularly communicate with the Office of Community
