Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act
Southwestern University, like all colleges and universities which receive any federal funding, is required to record and report the incidence of certain criminal activities which have occurred on campus over the previous three years. In addition, schools will provide information on local counseling services and procedures for campus disciplinary action in sex offense cases, and campus alcohol and drug policies. Student Right-To-Know Act
The Student Right-to-Know Act, passed by Congress in 1990, requires institutions eligible for Title IV funding, under the Higher Education Act of 1965, to calculate completion or graduation rates of certificate- or degree-seeking, full-time students entering that institution, and to disclose these rates to current and prospective students. Every institution that participates in any Title IV program and is attended by students receiving athletically-related student aid is required to disclose graduation/completion rates of all students as well as students receiving athletically-related student aid by race/ethnicity, gender and by sport, and the average completion or graduation rate for the four most recent years, to parents, coaches, and potential student athletes. Equity In Athletics Disclosure Act
As annually required by the federal government, please be advised that Southwestern University has completed the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) survey. Copies of the current EADA report are available for review by prospective students, upon request, in the following offices: Vice President for Enrollment Services; Vice President for Student Life; and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.
NCAA Division Iii Student-Athlete Statement
Southwestern adheres to all NCAA Division III policies, regulations and guidelines that prohibit the awarding of merit scholarships and financial assistance to student-athletes on the basis of athletic participation or performance. All student-athletes will be evaluated under the same programs and procedures as the general student body in all merit scholarship and financial assistance reviews.
