We encourage SU students, faculty, staff and alumni to get involved with any of the sustainability-related organizations on campus.

STUDENTS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISM AND KNOWLEDGE (SEAK)

Purpose: We believe that sustainability is for everyone and that a sustainable society is one that honors the earth and all its inhabitants. We strive to create this society by educating ourselves and others on our connection to the planet and on the local and global impacts we have on its vital systems. We aim to disrupt consumptive mindsets, advance environmental justice, and foster a more sustainable future for all.

SOUTHWESTERN COMMUNITY GARDEN

Advisor: Lance Roberson
Purpose: To educate the Southwestern community on sustainable food cultivation and to foster an appreciation for growing one’s own dinner.

FOOD JUSTICE ASSOCIATION (FJA)

Purpose: To promote & facilitate discussions regarding the different aspects of food justice including environmentalism, animal rights, veganism, and human safety and health.
