48 SOUTHWESTERN The Glada Munt Athletics Director Suite was officially dedicated last fall during Homecoming weekend in a ceremony attended by current and former student–athletes, Athletics staff, University administrators, and other members of the Southwestern community. The updated space features the new athletics brand developed by Creative Director Matt Madsen and Mason Biggers ’21, who was a team captain on the 2020–2021 football team. In addition to trophies, displays, and a life-size mannequin of a football player complete in a Pirate uniform, the lobby offers a welcoming space for recruits and other visitors. The suite was named in honor of Glada Munt, who retired in 2019 after 45 years of service at Southwestern, including 25 years as director of athletics. pirate pride
