Emily Gilby , Cedar, Park, TX, presented her honors thesis, Institutional Barriers to Youth Voter Turnout , at the Midwest Political Science Association annual meeting. Jasmine Herrera , Fort Worth, TX, presented a paper in Spanish titled “La Revolución de Testimonios en el Gran Abismo de Chile'' as part of the “Reexamining Historical Events” panel at the Latin American and Latinx Studies Symposium, an annual undergraduate event organized by Rollins College. Herrera also presented a paper with Saul Zuñiga ’22 titled “Mapping the Past: A Look into the Distribution of Midwives from Escuela Libre de Obstetricia y Enfermeria in Mexico City during the 1920s and ’30s” at the 9th Annual Phi Alpha Theta History Conference on April 24, 2021. Ethan Iverson , Adkins, TX, presented his research project titled “Synthesis and Characterization of Three Schiff Base Constitutional Isomers and Their Respective Copper (II) Complexes” at the American Chemical Society (ACS) Spring 2021 Meeting, held virtually. Iverson also received the Outstanding Senior Award from ACS. Emma Partain , Kyle, TX, accepted a council development associate position at GLG.
