BIRTH: Meghan O’Connor Ellington and Matt Ellington, Austin, TX, welcomed their third child, Grace Kathryn, on January 11, 2021. Jillian Gordon Foerster , San Antonio, TX, was promoted to income shareholder during Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s virtual annual shareholders meeting. Foerster practices in the area of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and employee benefits law. She has a particular interest in healthcare reform compliance for employer health and welfare plans, HIPAA privacy and security rules, wellness programs, and self- funded health plans. She also counsels clients on the insurer and third-party administrator side of employer welfare plans. Foerster is a member of Bexar County Women’s Bar Association and the Military Spouse J.D. Network. She was named among Scene in San Antonio magazine’s Rising Stars and Best Lawyers lists in 2020 and 2021. Hailey Ormand Spinks , Starkville, MS, started a new position as an assistant professor in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Foundations at Mississippi State University. BIRTH: Alexandra Nicol Catalani and Bryan J. Catalani, San Antonio, TX, welcomed Foster on February 1, 2021. Victoria Dominguez-Edington and Charles Fletcher Edington, Austin, TX, celebrated their daughter Selena Maria’s first birthday on December 11, 2021. She makes their Christmas time so special! Deborah Saddington Freeland , Dallas, TX, completed a fellow- ship in geriatric medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and has accepted a position as an assistant professor with a focus on home-based primary care for older adults. She is a member of the 2021– 2022 class of Health and Aging Policy Fellows. Catherine Jones McClendon , Austin, TX, began a new position with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department as a sustainability program specialist. She works on initiatives to make the state parks and facilities more sustainable. Austin Painchaud , Georgetown, TX, was selected as a member of the Leadership Austin Emerge Class 15. The Emerge program brings together community-minded, high- potential rising leaders dedicated to building meaningful relationships and developing leadership skills to make a difference in the Greater Austin community. Kamna Tripathi Parafina , Austin, TX, started a new position as a revenue operations systems specialist at Quali. Susan Fisher , Dallas, TX, has joined Thompson Coburn as a corporate attorney representing public and private companies, portfolio companies, private equity funds, and individual and institutional investors in mergers and acquisitions, complex financings, and other strategic commercial transactions. Fisher has led work on domestic and foreign- based deals exceeding $1 billion for clients in oil and gas, renewable energy, health care, and manufacturing. BIRTH: Olivia Hawkins Marmion and William Marmion, Austin, TX, welcomed daughter Nora Lee on November 18, 2020. BIRTH: Heather Toth Seay and Fleming Seay, Austin, TX, along with daughter, Julia, welcomed baby boy Alexander Fleming on May 31, 2021. Colin Anderson , Novato, CA, received his doctorate in toxicology from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and has started a postdoctoral fellowship position at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging in California. Beau Cross , Amarillo, TX, has joined the law office of Sprouse Shrader Smith PLLC as an of counsel attorney. Cross assists clients with all aspects of estate planning, probate and estate administration, taxation, nonprofit formation and governance, business succession planning, buying and selling of assets, and business and entity formations. He is board-certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both tax law and estate planning and probate law.
