new board of trustees members Jorge Diaz Cuervo ’90, P’21 JORGE DIAZ CUERVO IS A DIRECTOR OF KYBERNUS , a nonprof it organization established by Mexican corporate conglomerate Grupo Salinas to create social value in Mexico by building a culture of leadership. Previously, he served in a variety of positions in Mexico’s federal government, inMexico City’s local congress, and as president of Mexico’s Social Democratic Party. Diaz Cuervo graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Southwestern in 1990. He went on to earn amaster’s degree in internationalmanagement fromtheAutonomousTechnological Institute of Mexico in 1995, a master’s degree in management of social security systems from the University of Alcala in Spain in 2005, and a doctorate in law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2015. Victoria Diaz-Cuervo Pueblita '21 followed in her father's footsteps, earning her bachelor's degree in economics and business from Southwestern. Prior to his election as a trustee, Diaz Cuervo was a member of Southwestern’s Board of Visitors. Alesha Lewis ’21 ALESHA LEWIS IS A MEMBER OF FEMA CORPS, a partnership between AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). FEMA Corps is a yearlong residential service program for young adults who want to gain professional experience in the emergency management sector. Lewis graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and political science in 2021. While at Southwestern, she served as president of the Honor Code Council, as the student director of Southwestern Breakaway, and as a member of the Student Foundation and the Student Philanthropy Council.
