1996 1994 Victoria Rawlins McCuistion , San Antonio, TX, completed managing a sizable disaster- recovery program for the Rio Texas Conference United Methodist Church in July 2020. McCuistion has since become an infrastruc- ture branch director on the Public Assistance Field Delivery Team of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. 1995 Eric Shafer , Greer, SC, recently retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service, initially as a nuclear electrician, then a naval flight officer, and finally a naval aviator. Shafer is currently a pilot with Delta Air Lines. Gregory Tatum , Greensboro, NC, was named to the board of directors for the American Society of Echocardiography Foundation. Margaret Dorsey , Richmond, VA, published a book titled Fencing in Democracy: Border Walls, Necrocitizenship, and the Security State (Duke University Press, 2020), coauthored with Miguel Diaz-Barriga. 1997 Genevieve Durham DeCesaro , Lubbock, TX, is currently serving as vice provost for academic affairs at Texas Tech University (TTU) and has been named TTU’s interim dean of the J. Andrew Miller , Austin, TX, was recently hired as the inaugural chief strategy and impact officer for the Texas Health Institute, a nonprofit, nonpartisan public-health insti- tute. He was previously the head of healthcare and social-services giving for The Morris Foundation in Fort Worth, TX. Dee Dee Thomas Reed , New York, NY, recently joined Verizon Media as their senior director of media development. Lee Ann Sommer Lawrence , Houston, TX, retired after 29 years with Cypress–Fairbanks Independent School District, serving the last 16 years as chair of the social studies depart- ment at Cy-Fair High School. 1998 Leslie Cramblet Alvarez , Centennial, CO, joined the University of Denver as the director of the Office of Teaching and Learning in January 2020.
