Ann Truog Hardy , Colleyville, TX, has won seven awards over the 16-year history (2004– 2020) of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, ranking fifth among 462 award- winning artists across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. 1958 Bettie Hamby Weaver , Corpus Christi, TX, retired after 30 years working as an elementary- school teacher for children with dyslexia. 1953 Robert W. Sledge , Georgetown, TX, retired from McMurry University after having taught for 37 years and having served as the university historian for over a decade. In recognition of his service, the school awarded him an honorary doctor of education degree. Sledge and Marjorie Stout Sledge ’57 have retired to Georgetown, TX, after 56 years in Abilene, TX. 1959 E.
