Jay Marshall Jay Marshall is a managing director and chief learning o cer of Alix- Partners, LLP, a global management consulting firm. Marshall joined AlixPartners in 1999 and has filled multiple roles, leading both client service practices and functional areas. Previously, he was a partner in Booz Allen Hamilton’s energy practice and managing partner of the firm’s Dallas o ce. Marshall is a member of both the inaugural class of Henry Crown fellows and the Aspen Global Leadership Network and is a senior moderator at the Aspen Institute. Marshall earned a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Princeton University in 1983 and a master of business administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986. Prior to his election as a trustee, Marshall was a member of Southwestern’s Board of Visitors, chairing that board from 2018 to 2020. Melissa Torres Anderson ’92 Melissa Torres Anderson is the chief operating o cer and chief financial o cer of Windmuehle, LLC, a boutique investment firm. Previously, Anderson was the owner and operator of Bull Creek Financial Services, which specialized in providing consulting services to private equity, hedge fund, and family o ces. She also has served as a principal and chief operating o cer with Meritage Capital and as the treasury controller at Dell Technologies. She began her career in the audit practice of PwC, also known as PricewaterhouseCoopers, and has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services. Anderson graduated in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southwestern, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. Prior to her election as a trustee, Anderson was a member of Southwestern’s Board of Visitors. Veronica V. Stidvent Veronica “Ronnye” Stidvent is the executive director of the Center for Women in Law at the University of Texas at Austin and the president of Stidvent Partners, a consulting firm focused on public policy, business initiatives, and philanthropic efforts. Previously, Stidvent was the chancellor of Western Governors University Texas. She also has served as head of education and training at Dimensional Fund Advisors and as program director and lecturer at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Stidvent earned a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude , in plan II/American studies in 1996 from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her law degree from Yale Law School in 1999. Prior to her election as a trustee, Stidvent was a member of Southwestern’s Board of Visitors. Courtney King ’20 Courtney King is a recent Southwestern graduate, having earned her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in business and Paideia with Distinction in 2020. A member of Delta Delta Delta, King was named Greek Woman of the Year in 2020. She also was a member of the first cohort of Southwestern University’s Lab for Innovative Ventures and Entrepreneurship (LIVE) and received Southwestern’s Emerging Leader Award. In her business capstone class at Southwestern, King acted as the CEO of a hypothetical online footwear company, conducting weekly decision-making sessions as her team competed with five others for market share. She currently works as a severance tax consultant for Ryan, LLC, a global tax services, software, and technology firm, and as a wedding and event consultant for Keely Thorne Events, an acclaimed boutique event planning firm.
